“I do some dates each year at the Wynn Casino,” Leno said. He takes every opportunity to fine-tune his comedy with ever-changing audiences and new generations. Leno said he is happy to still be a Las Vegas headliner name, and he likes to call casino showrooms of Sin City his comedy home away from home. I’d toss in something like, ‘Oh yeah? You’re about as popular as a washed up TV sitcom star!’ And then he’d come back with, ‘Oh yeah? Well you’re about as popular as a washed up late-night TV talk show host!’ And we’d have everyone laughing during the show taping.”
“Tim was the executive producer for the show, and because we are friends, I could get away with kidding around with him on the set in front of the staff and crew. “One of the things I loved so much about playing my auto repair guy character on Tim’s sitcom was the fact that it was Tim’s show, and not my show to run,” Leno said.
